About 365 Discoveries

In brief: 365 Discoveries is a personal project in documentation of personal, educational, and technological discovery and the subsequent sharing of said discoveries.

In other words: When I find out stuff, I wanna add my own knowledge to the mix and share it with others in the hopes that someone will find something useful.

If you care to know more:

365 Discoveries was established as a means for me to share nicely packaged bits of knowledge I come across during my travels through this world and the virtual world of the Web. Since I first laid my hands on a keyboard, I’ve depended on the Internet to educate myself on practically anything that aroused my curiosity. Somehow most of my curiosities became centered around the very electronic devices I used to connect to the Internet. While my schoolwork filled my mind with the basis of reading, writing and arithmetic (more reading and writing, less arithmetic in my case), there was very little in the field of computing available at any school I attended, so anything I wanted to know about electronics I had to discover myself. Even now, majoring in Computer Information Systems, I use knowledge and resources found on the Internet to supplement my “in-class” learning as well as harnessing other’s dissemination of knowledge (a.k.a. Tech Blogs) to keep myself on top of the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of technology (and sometimes episode recaps of LOST). After digesting this information, I supplement it with my own knowledge and put it to good use. Having this outlet to share this information, I hope I someone else can harness my knowledge and expand, extrapolate, or correct it as they use it in their own lives.

The 365 in 365 Discoveries isn’t meant as a limit to the number of things I’ll post, but as a reinforcement that new things can be learned everyday and that learning never ends, except in leap years… then you can take a day off.

“Fools have no interest in understanding;they only want to air their own opinions.” – Proverbs 18:2
