Finalizing Discs on the DC330 [Canon DVD Camcorder]

So, this discovery probably comes from the RTFM department, but I’ll share it anyway because the manual supplied with the DC330 is severely lacking.

If you want to finalize a DVD on several of Canon’s DVD camcorders (I assume) and more specifically the DC330, you’ll probably have to plug in the power. The camcorder doesn’t trust that the battery will last throughout the entire finalization process (which could take a few seconds to several minutes) and won’t take the risk of permanently ruining your precious memories caught on tape DVD.
